Umbel vs Linktree

Umbel is a Linktree alternative when the link is for someone you have just met rather than a follower. It saves to their contacts, works by QR code, NFC tap and wallet pass, and takes their details in return. One card is free, with wallet passes included.

Where they differ

One saves to contacts, one lists links

A Linktree page is a list of places to go. An Umbel card is a person: tap Save contact and the name, number and email land in the phone's address book.

Made to be handed over

Umbel's card opens from a QR code, an NFC tap, a link or a wallet pass. Linktree's pricing page describes a link for a bio and says nothing about QR, NFC or wallets.

The other person can share back

Every Umbel card carries a Share your details form, so a meeting leaves you a contact. Linktree's page does not describe lead capture.
