If your card isn't working as expected, don't worry—it's usually a simple fix.

Check Phone Compatibility

Ensure the phone you are tapping is NFC-compatible. Most phones made after 2018 (iPhone XS/XR and newer) have NFC enabled by default.

Position Matters

The NFC "sweet spot" varies:

  • iPhone: Top edge.
  • Android: Center-back or near the camera.

Remove Thick Cases

Very thick or metal cases can interfere with the NFC signal. Try tapping the card directly against the phone without the case to test.

Metal Interference

Ensure you aren't holding the card too close to other metal objects like keys or other credit cards.
