How it works

Open Contacts and choose Scan a card
Take a photo of the card, or choose one you already have.

Let Umbel read it
The scan is read in the background. You can carry on; the contact appears when it is done.

Check and save
Look over what was read, fix anything the photo made hard to see, and save. A scan that could not be read is not counted.

Add a note
Where you met and what comes next. Notes and labels stay with the contact, and so does the card's photo.

Only a successful read counts
If the card could not be read, the scan is given back.
The photo is kept with the contact
Save the contact and the original picture stays. Otherwise it is deleted after 30 days.
