Set your action button

Save Contact, Lead Capture, or a custom link — choosing the right primary call to action.

The action button is the most prominent interactive element on your card — the button contacts see first and are most likely to tap. Choosing the right mode has a direct impact on what you get out of your networking.

The three modes

Save Contact

Tapping the button downloads a contact file (vCard) with your details, and the contact is prompted to save you to their address book in one tap.

Best for: professionals who primarily want to be remembered and easily contacted. This is the default.

Lead Capture

Tapping the button opens a branded form where the contact fills in their name, email, phone number, and any other fields you've configured. Their details land in your leads dashboard instantly. Available on paid plans.

Best for: salespeople, recruiters, agents — anyone collecting prospect details at events.

Custom Link

Tapping the button takes the contact straight to a URL you choose — a booking page, product demo, pricing page, anything.

Best for: driving one specific action, like booking a call or viewing a portfolio.

Changing your action button

  1. Open the card editor from your dashboard.
  2. Scroll to the Action Button section.
  3. Pick Save Contact, Lead Capture, or Custom Link.
  4. For Lead Capture, configure your form fields — see Set up lead capture.
  5. For Custom Link, enter the destination URL.

The card preview updates immediately.

Tips

  • At events, Lead Capture turns your card into a two-way exchange — you share your details and collect theirs at the same time.
  • If you just want to be saved as a contact, Save Contact is the most friction-free option.
  • Custom Link works well for campaigns — point contacts at a launch page or limited-time offer.
